Gasboilerinstalls

Combi, system, regular.

Heating services

A boiler job is not a box from a website. The engineer has to size the heat, check the flue, confirm the gas rate, and leave you with a system that heats the house without short-cycling. Wales Heat matches that work to Gas Safe installers who already cover your local authority.

Most Welsh homes we see are combis in terraces and semis. System and regular boilers still matter wherever there is a cylinder, a large demand for hot water, or a property that was never a good combi candidate. We would rather tell you that on the survey than sell the wrong plant.

Wall-mounted domestic gas boiler

Combi boilers

Heat and hot water from one wall-hung unit. Typical for flats and smaller family homes with a decent gas supply.

System boilers

Paired with an unvented cylinder when you want stored hot water for baths, showers, and peak demand.

Regular boilers

Open-vented systems with a tank and cylinder — still the right call on some older Welsh properties.

Controls & flues

Thermostats, smart controls, condensate runs, and flue routes that actually pass a Gas Safe check.

What the quote includes

The survey sets the spec: output, flue position, magnetic filter, inhibitor, and whether the pipework or cylinder has to move. You get a written price from the installer, not a teaser rate that grows once the casing is off.

Like-for-like swaps are faster. System changes — combi to system, or a move from a back boiler — take a proper day-count and a clear scope. We flag that before anyone books the van.

After the install

The engineer notifies the work on the Gas Safe register, explains the controls, and leaves you with servicing advice. Annual service can sit on the same local book so you are not hunting a new number next winter.
