Wales Heat is a matching desk, not a call centre in another time zone. We sit between homeowners who want a warmer house and Gas Safe engineers who already work the postcode. The brief is simple: keep the lead local, keep the quote competitive, and keep the heat in the building.
We started because too many Welsh households were buying boilers and insulation through national funnels that sent the job to whoever answered first. That is a poor way to treat a 20-year heating system. A loft in Aberystwyth does not need the same spec as a cavity in Newport, and a combi swap in a terrace is not a system boiler in a farmhouse.
What we actually do
You tell us the property, the fuel, and the job. We match you with installers who cover that local authority, hold the right tickets, and can survey on a real calendar — typically inside 48 hours. You still choose the quote. We do not lock you into a single contractor or a catalogue price from a warehouse.
The desk covers gas boiler installation, loft and cavity insulation, annual servicing, breakdowns, and landlord certificates. Heat pumps and oil sit on the same matching rails when the property needs them, but gas and fabric-first insulation is the core of the book.

How a job runs
A homeowner or landlord sends the postcode and a short brief. We check coverage, match two or three suitable installers where we can, and send the enquiry through. The installer surveys, prices, and books. Wales Heat stays on the thread if the spec changes — a combi that should have been a system boiler, a loft that needs 270mm not a top-up guess.
We are not the installer of record. The contract is yours with the engineer. That is deliberate: it keeps accountability on the person who opens the casing and signs the Gas Safe notification.
